Pickfords is hiring a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Platform Lead to deliver the transition from NAV to a unified Business Central Platform and take ownership of its ongoing management and development.

The role is ideal for an experienced professional with finance systems expertise, hands‑on AL development, and a track record of successful Business Central implementations. Based in Kings Langley, you will work with finance and business teams to shape the platform roadmap.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering multiple full-cycle Dynamics 365 Business Central implementations with finance-led design.
• Strong knowledge of NAV/BC and SaaS deployments across cloud environments.
• Proven data migration from legacy systems to opening balances and reconciliations.

• Manage platform releases, upgrades, permissions and ongoing support.

• Collaborate with Finance and business teams to prioritise improvements and roadmaps.
• Coordinate external partners and coach the internal team supporting the platform.

Pickfords is hiring a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Platform Lead to deliver our transition from legacy Dynamics NAV to a unified Business Central Platform and take ownership of its ongoing management and development. This role is ideal for an experienced professional with a proven track record in Business Central implementations, strong finance systems expertise and hands‑on technical skills.

Your responsibilities

• Design and deliver the transition from Dynamics NAV to a unified Business Central platform.
• Manage data migration, configuration, testing including training and support.
• Develop integrations with operational systems and set standards for AL extensions.
• Manage platform releases, upgrades, permissions and ongoing support.
• Deliver job costing, billing and consolidated group reporting through Business Central and Power BI.
• Work and Finance and business teams to prioritise improvements and develop the platform roadmap.
• Coordinate external partners and coach the internal team supporting the platform.

What we’re looking for:

• Business Central experience: Proven delivery of multiple full‑cycle implementations, including finance‑led solution design.
• NAV and BC SaaS expertise: Strong Dynamics NAV and C/AL knowledge, alongside Business Central SaaS implementation experience.
• Data migration: Experiencemanaging migration from legacy data extraction through to reconciled opening balances.
• Finance configuration: In‑depth knowledge of chart of accounts, dimensions, posting groups and core financial processes.
• Integration and development: Hands‑on experience with APIs, OData and production AL development.
• Reporting: Ability to design ERP data models and reporting architecture using Power BI.
• Platform management: Experience managing releases, support, upgrades and continuous improvement after launch.
• Communication: Ability to explain technical and data issues clearly to finance users and senior stakeholders.
