Job summary

Centry Services is seeking a lead Dynamics 365 Business Central architect to guide end-to-end BC SaaS implementations, starting from a finance-led design. You will own the group structure, COA, intercompany, and consolidation, driving migrations from legacy NAV and delivering integrated interfaces with key systems.

Qualifications

• We require multiple full-cycle Dynamics 365 Business Central implementations led from finance and including greenfield COA and dimension design.
• Strong NAV/ C/AL background with Business Central SaaS implementation experience.
• Ownership of data migration from legacy extraction to reconciled openings.
• Experience with intercompany, consolidation, and group reporting structures.
• Experience with APIs and OData integration, including interfaces to non-Microsoft systems.
• Working AL knowledge to set extension standards and code reviews.
• Power BI experience against ERP data and defining the BC data model.
• Preference for NAV/on-prem migrations to BC SaaS and data lake patterns.

Responsibilities

• We work with finance superusers on process design at the platform boundary.
• We coach the consultant-developer and shape the team, including future hires.
• We define run models for handover, including permissions, environments, and support transfer.

Requirements

• We require multiple full-cycle Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central implementations delivered end to end, led from the finance side, including at least one greenfield chart of accounts and dimension design.
• We require a strong NAV and C/AL background combined with Business Central SaaS implementation experience.
• We require data migration ownership on at least one implementation, from legacy extraction through reconciled opening balances.
• We require multi-company configuration experience, including intercompany, consolidation and group reporting structures.
• We require integration design experience with APIs and OData, including at least one delivered interface to a non-Microsoft operational system.
• We require working AL knowledge to set extension standards, review code and write production AL when needed.
• We require Power BI experience against ERP data, including defining the Business Central data model and reporting architecture and building hands-on where needed.
• We prefer personal end-to-end NAV or on-premises Business Central to Business Central SaaS migration experience.
• We prefer familiarity with Azure Data Factory and data lake patterns.
• We prefer sector exposure to job-costed or project-based businesses such as removals, logistics, construction or field services.

Responsibilities

• We own the solution architecture, including the group chart of accounts, dimension design, company structure, intercompany and consolidation.
• We bring the live Business Central entity onto the group design through a controlled migration, cut over at period end and reconcile to Group Finance sign-off.
• We own the migration strategy for the businesses on legacy NAV and deliver it end to end, including extraction, transformation, opening balance loads and reconciliations through to Group Finance sign-off.
• We build hands-on and lead configuration, test cycles and cutover through each phased go-live alongside a mid-level consultant-developer.
• We design the integration layer to the groups operational systems and set the development standards, including AL extensions only, no base-code modification, and environment, release and upgrade management aligned to Business Central release waves.
• We work with finance superusers in each business on process design at the platform boundary and agree what Business Central does and what stays in the systems feeding it.
• We coach the consultant-developer and shape the team as it grows, including any third hire at the operational phase.
• We design the run model for handover, including update cadence, permissions model, environment management and the internal support model, documented and transferred to the permanent support team before contract end.

We are based in London and Kings Langley, working three days in the office and two days hybrid, with travel to group sites around cutovers. We are a multi-entity UK group of four trading businesses in moving, relocation and related services, plus an overseas shared service centre running finance processing on the legacy estate. Our programme consolidates the group onto one Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central platform in two phases, with a new group chart of accounts, a clean company structure and phased rollout across our trading businesses. The role reports to our Group Head of Finance, IT & Administration, with sponsorship from our group chief executive and oversight through a steering group. We have a BC consultant-developer recruited in parallel, group IT supporting the legacy NAV estate, and finance superusers in each business carrying UAT. This is an end-user platform role with direct access to the day-to-day decision-maker, clear design authority and an approved mandate, with the first go-live targeted within months of joining.
