Your Day-to-Day Life

We are seeking a Microbiology Technician at Newbridge Industrial Estate, Athgarvan Road, Kilbelin, Newbridge W12W951 IRL. Your mission will include:

  • Performing tasks assigned by the Laboratory Manager/Supervisor to the highest standards of quality and reporting any doubtful results
  • Managing daily implementation of Mérieux NutriSciences’ Quality Management System to ensure compliance with ISO 17025, INAB, DAFM, RSA, and company standards
  • Conducting daily checks on balances/temperature and completing all required documentation
  • Maintaining good housekeeping standards, including proper preparation and segregation of pathogenic samples
  • Ensuring health and safety protocols are followed and escalating issues as needed
  • Participating in the Proficiency Testing (PT) programme as required, analyzing PT samples timely
  • Escalating issues related to health and safety, resources, or equipment to senior management
  • Performing Internal Quality Control testing, trend analysis, and handling spiked samples
  • Accurately calculating, checking, and entering results into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
Your Profile
  • At least 1 year of experience in a laboratory environment, during college or work
  • Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, chemistry, food technology, or related sciences
  • Training in Aseptic technique
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration
  • Positive attitude and eagerness to learn
  • Customer and employee-focused mindset
  • Organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and problem-solving abilities
