Work Schedule

3-4 days off a week with 3-day weekends every other weekend.

Job Summary

The Laboratory Technician is responsible for testing and monitoring the quality of all products.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Complete profiles on production finished materials, product purchases, and shipments per company standards.
• Serve as liaison between the plant and Central Lab regarding product quality.
• Obtain, package, and ship samples for testing to the Central Lab.
• Submit test results to the Supervisor, General Manager, and Plant Manager.
• Conduct training of employees in FSMA compliance, including CGMPs, Food Safety plans, and preventive controls.
• Perform site inspections, sampling, log review, and report preparation to ensure compliance with biosecurity, feed safety, and product regulations.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental, safety, and HACCP regulations.
• Perform quality analyses on finished products.
• Maintain lab, materials, and work area in a clean condition.
• Prioritize safety in accordance with all company safety rules and regulations.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Understanding of basic chemistry.
• Willing to train the right candidate.

• Highly organized with excellent time management skills.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.

Physical Demands
