Qualifications
A degree in a related field such as microbiology or veterinary science is required.
Equivalent laboratory experience will be considered in place of a formal degree.
Responsibilities
Identify bacteria using MALDI-TOF MS and biochemical tests.
Prepare and interpret microscopic examinations.
Report results in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
Maintain the laboratory's UKAS accreditation.
Saturday work required on a rota basis.
Comply with health and safety procedures.
