Job summary

ALS Environmental in Wakefield is seeking an Analyst 1 to join the Microbiology team. The role involves processing samples, adhering to the Quality Management System, and meeting tight deadlines while delivering reliable data.

The position offers permanent, full-time hours (37 per week) with a rotating shift pattern including evenings, a 24-hour on-call rota, and weekend coverage on rotation. A Level in science is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an A Level in Science or equivalent qualification.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records.
• Good communication skills and basic IT proficiency.
• A collaborative team player who can also organise and manage workload independently.

Responsibilities

• Process samples in line with our Quality Management System.
• Achieve sample completion targets and meet deadlines.
• Work closely with team members to ensure efficient sample processing.
• Understand and respond to customer requirements.
• Follow COSHH risk assessments to handle chemicals safely.
