Job summary

Boneham & Turner Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Waterjet Setter & Operator to join our precision engineering team. You will set, program and operate our micro-precision waterjet system to deliver ultra-precise components across Aerospace, Defence, Motorsport and Formula One sectors.

Working with Titanium, Aluminium, stainless steels, tool steels and composites, you will read complex drawings, select cutting parameters and perform in-process quality checks to ensure

Qualifications

• Experience operating precision CNC or waterjet cutting machinery.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings and geometric tolerancing.
• Experience working to tight tolerances in a precision manufacturing environment.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Quality-focused approach with a commitment to delivering right-first-time results.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a highly skilled engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Setting and operating Micro Abrasive Waterjet systems.
• Reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and CAD data.
• Producing components to extremely tight tolerances and high-quality standards.
• Conducting first-off inspections and in-process quality checks.
• Selecting suitable cutting parameters for different materials and thicknesses.
• Troubleshooting machining and process issues.
• Maintaining machine performance and supporting preventative maintenance activities.
• Working to Aerospace, Defence and Motorsport quality requirements.
• Driving continuous improvement in processes, productivity and quality.
