Job summary

HSBC is seeking an MI Analytics & Visualisation Lead to drive cost transparency and advanced dashboards for senior leadership. You will lead a specialist team, shape how cloud and infrastructure spend is managed, and deliver data-driven insights at the intersection of data, finance, and technology.

You will own financial dashboards, collaborate with stakeholders, and guide the analytics strategy in a fast-paced banking environment.

We’re currently seeking an experienced professional to join our CTO Team in the role of MI Analytics & Visualisation Lead.

You’ll play a key part in shaping how HSBC manages and optimisescloud and infrastructure spend. You’ll own the dashboards senior leaders rely on, lead a specialist team, and drive tangible cost and efficiency outcomes, plus you’ll be right at the intersection ofdata, finance, and technology, with a strong focus onmodern visualisation tools and AI-enabled insight.

In this role you will:

• Own the cost transparency reporting suiteforPublic Cloud and On‑Premise Infrastructure, including ongoing maintenance and improvements
• Design, develop and maintain financial dashboards and reportsthat translate cost and performance into clear, decision-ready insights
• Analyse cost drivers and optimisation opportunities, monitoring KPIs, spotting trends/anomalies, and recommending cost-saving actions
• Lead data integration, governance and integrity, combining multiple sources and keeping models current as the financial landscape changes
• Lead and prioritise delivery through the operating model and organise work through sprint-style planning

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

• Strong financial operations and cost management experience, within aglobal banking/financial servicesenvironment
• Advanced BI capabilityincludingdata and semantic modelling
• Extensive experience using a breadth of visualisation tools such as BI / Looker / Apache Superset
• Awareness of FinOps industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices in cloud financial management
• Data management and governance strength skills, financial systems understanding,data integration, and ensuringconsistency/accuracyacross sources.
• Excellent Stakeholder communication skills with the ability to present complex financial insights clearly tosenior management and non-technical stakeholders
• Leadership and delivery skill, experienced in leading teams, managing multiple initiatives, and delivering in a fast-paced, agileenvironment

London office relocation: Between January and April 2027, many office-based HSBC employees in London will move from either 8 Canada Square or Queen Victoria Street to one of our new sites at St. Paul’s or Canary Wharf. Depending on when they join, successful candidates may start at an existing office before moving or join directly at a new location.
