2 Sisters Food Group is seeking a permanent MHE Trainer to join the Health & Safety team in Willand, Devon. You will deliver high quality training for mechanical handling operators, plan and record training, and ensure compliance with PUWER, LOLER and HSE guidelines.
The role requires practical and classroom-based training delivery, strong coaching skills, and at least 6 months forklift experience. Competitive hourly rate and development opportunities available.

Your Main Responsibilities as a MHE Trainer include:
Working closely with operational departments, Health & Safety and departmental managers, the MHE trainer will play a key role in compliance with PUWER, LOLER and HSE guidelines while promoting a positive safety culture.
Product quality is everyone’s responsibility, and the highest standards of quality must be maintained throughout all stages of the manufacturing process.
In your specific role this includes carrying out tasks in line with documented procedures and ensuring the products that we produce meet customer specifications.
You will consistently refer to the relevant customer specification sheets to ensure that the portions / products that are being packed are in accordance with the agreed weight and size parameters and that there are no visible quality issues with the product e.g. excessive bruising, poor cutting standards, bone fragments, or excess fat
You are responsible for identifying and reporting any product defects or deviations to specifications and removing those products from the line. This should also include a root cause analysis to help identify what caused the quality issue. You will also coach others to ensure they fully understand and adhere to the relevant customer specification sheets
