Job summary

Great Bear, part of the Culina Group, is seeking an experienced MHE Trainer to join our Worksop team. You will deliver training to MHE operators, run inductions and refresher sessions, and ensure safe working practices across shifts.

The role requires maintaining training records, supporting risk assessments, and contributing to KPI reporting. Permanent, full-time position with rotating and night shifts and a salary of £32,800 per year.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering MHE training on-site for permanent and temporary staff.
• Ability to run inductions and refresher sessions with accuracy and clarity.
• Experience maintaining training records and building operator competence matrices.
• Experience supporting risk assessments and incident investigations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality MHE training, inductions and refresher sessions.
• Train operators on the Fleet Management System and processes.
• Maintain training records and a site skills matrix.
• Complete workplace assessments for operator safety and capability.
• Support risk assessments and Safe Systems of Work to reduce MHE risk.
• Assist investigations into MHE-related incidents and identify learnings.
• Provide KPI and monthly training reports and cover shifts as needed.

Job Description

We’re looking for experienced MHE Trainer to join our Great Bear team in Worksop, who will play a key role in delivering training to MHE operators to ensure safe working practices and a continual reduction in MHE accident / incidents.

We have 2 positions available that are both permanent, full time positions working Monday to Friday on the below shifts

• Rotating shift pattern between 06:00 – 14:00 and 14:00 – 22:00
• Nights between 22:00 – 06:00
• Paying £32800 per annum

What You’ll Be Doing

• Champion a positive Health & Safety culture on site, keeping safe working practices at the heart of daily operations.
• Deliver high-quality MHE training, inductions and refresher sessions for permanent and agency colleagues.
• Train MHE operators on the Fleet Management System and ensure colleagues are confident using the correct processes.
• Process training in other areas of the warehouse, including but not limited to bays, pick etc
• Maintain accurate training records and support the development of a site skills matrix to track operator competence.
• Complete workplace assessments to ensure MHE operators remain safe, capable and compliant.
• Support risk assessments, Safe Systems of Work and hazard controls to reduce risk across MHE activities.
• Assist with investigations into MHE-related incidents, identifying learnings and helping prevent repeat occurrences.
• Work closely with operational management to cover training requirements across shifts and provide accurate KPI and monthly reporting.
