Job summary

Great Bear, part of the Culina Group, is seeking reliable MHE Operatives for our Markham Vale 1 site. You will operate reach trucks, VNA and PPT equipment, supporting stock movement and loading to keep goods moving safely and efficiently in a busy ambient warehouse.

This role suits candidates with prior MHE experience who enjoy a fast-paced logistics environment and are available for a 5 on 2 off night pattern (22:00–06:00). Training on-site may be provided to align with site procedures.

Qualifications

• Evidence of training on a reach truck or VNA in a warehouse setting.
• Certification should show hours spent on training.
• On-site licences from previous employers considered with relevant practical experience.
• On-site training may be longer for on-site MHE operation due to safety rules.
• Strong focus on safe working practices and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Operate MHE safely and efficiently (Reach, VNA, PPT as required).
• Move, replenish and put away stock within the warehouse.
• Assist with loading, unloading and inbound activity following site procedures.
• Complete vehicle, equipment and safety checks per standards.
• Use scanners/warehouse systems to maintain stock integrity.
• Collaborate with the team to keep the operation moving at pace.

Job Description

We are looking for reliable and motivated MHE Operatives to join Great Bear at our Markham Vale 1 site joining a busy ambient warehouse operation. Working across our Distribution site, you will play a key role in keeping products moving safely, accurately and efficiently through the warehouse.

This is a great opportunity for candidates with previous MHE experience who enjoy working in a fast-paced logistics environment and are confident operating equipment such as reach trucks and PPTs, while supporting loading, inbound and stock movement activity.

Shift pattern:5 on 2 off nights shifts,22:00 - 06:00

Salary:£13.13 per hour plus £1.75 per hour shift allowance & overtime paid at time and half

What you'll be doing:

• Operate MHE safely and efficiently, including Reach trucks, VNA and PPT equipment where required.
• Support the movement, replenishment and put-away of stock within the warehouse.
• Assist with loading, unloading and inbound activity while following site procedures.
• Complete vehicle, equipment and safety checks in line with operational standards.
• Use scanners or warehouse systems accurately to help maintain stock integrity.
• Work closely with the wider warehouse team to keep the operation moving at pace.

Qualifications

• We Require evidence of training on either a reach truck or VNAwithin a warehouse, logistics or distribution setting
• The certification needs to show novice training with the hours spent on the training
• In-house licences from previous employers can be considered, provided you have relevant practical experience.
• We can take people with only refresher certification but due to our H & S rules their training on site will be longer before they can drive the MHE
• A strong focus on safe working practices and attention to detail.
• A reliable, flexible and team-focused approach.
• Availability to work a 5 on 2 off nights shift pattern
