Job summary

Great Bear (Part of the Culina Group) is looking for reliable MHE Operatives at the Markham Vale 1 site to keep the ambient warehouse moving safely and efficiently. You will operate reach trucks, VNA and PPT equipment, support stock movement and assist loading and inbound activities.

Shift pattern is 5 from 7, 6am-2pm or 2pm-10pm. Applicants should have or be able to obtain MHE training and demonstrate a strong focus on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Evidence of training on a reach truck or VNA within a warehouse setting.
• Certification should show hours spent on training; in-house licences considered with relevant experience.
• On-site training longer for H&S compliance; strong focus on safe working practices.
• Reliable, flexible and team-focused with availability for 5 from 7 shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate MHE safely and efficiently, including Reach trucks, VNA and PPT equipment.
• Support movement, replenishment and put-away of stock within the warehouse.
• Assist with loading, unloading and inbound activity following site procedures.
• Complete vehicle, equipment and safety checks per standards.
• Use scanners or warehouse systems to maintain stock integrity.
• Collaborate with the wider team to keep operations moving at pace.

Job Description

We are looking for reliable and motivated MHE Operatives to join Great Bear at our Markham Vale 1 site joining a busy ambient warehouse operation. Working across our Distribution site, you will play a key role in keeping products moving safely, accurately and efficiently through the warehouse.

This is a great opportunity for candidates with previous MHE experience who enjoy working in a fast-paced logistics environment and are confident operating equipment such as reach trucks and PPTs, while supporting loading, inbound and stock movement activity.

Shift pattern: 5 from 7 rotating, 6am-2pm / 2pm - 10pm

Salary: £13.13 per hour plus overtime paid at time and half

What you'll be doing

• Operate MHE safely and efficiently, including Reach trucks, VNA and PPT equipment where required.
• Support the movement, replenishment and put-away of stock within the warehouse.
• Assist with loading, unloading and inbound activity while following site procedures.
• Complete vehicle, equipment and safety checks in line with operational standards.
• Use scanners or warehouse systems accurately to help maintain stock integrity.
• Work closely with the wider warehouse team to keep the operation moving at pace.

Qualifications

• We Require evidence of training on either a reach truck or VNA within a warehouse, logistics or distribution setting
• The certification needs to show novice training with the hours spent on the training
• In-house licences from previous employers can be considered, provided you have relevant practical experience.
• We can take people with only refresher certification but due to our H & S rules their training on site will be longer before they can drive the MHE
• A strong focus on safe working practices and attention to detail.
• A reliable, flexible and team-focused approach.
• Availability to work a 5 from 7 rotating shift pattern
