Job summary

AO.com is seeking an experienced MHE Trainer to join our Crewe logistics operation on permanent days with a 12-hour shift pattern. You will develop colleagues, improve safety standards and build high-performing teams by delivering practical and classroom training, inductions and MHE certification across the site.

The role requires a driving licence, MHE experience in warehousing, strong safety knowledge and the ability to train and coach diverse learners.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence required.
• Experience operating MHE within a warehouse or logistics environment.
• Strong understanding of health and safety requirements.
• Experience delivering practical training and coaching.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging practical and classroom-based training.
• Lead inductions for new starters and agency colleagues.
• Train, assess and re-certify colleagues on MHE equipment.
• Support compliance with health and safety standards across the site.
• Maintain accurate training records and certification data.
• Work closely with Operational, HR and Health & Safety teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve training effectiveness and operational performance.
• Ensure mandatory training requirements are completed across your shift.

We have opportunities available on both permanent days working a 12-hour shift pattern.

Here’s What You Can Expect To Be Doing

As an Operational Trainer, you'll play a vital role in developing our people and ensuring they have the skills, knowledge and confidence to work safely and effectively.

• Deliver engaging practical and classroom-based training
• Lead inductions for new starters and agency colleagues

A Few Things About You

We're looking for someone who is passionate about developing others, confident in front of groups and able to adapt their approach to suit different learning styles.

Essential

• Full UK Driving Licence

Qualifications

• Accredited MHE Instructor qualification (RTITB, ITSSAR or AITT) preferred
