Horizon Teachers are working with Greenwich secondary schools to recruit enthusiastic History Teachers for KS3/KS4. Opportunities include supply, long-term placements and permanent roles, suitable for experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs).

The ideal candidate will hold QTS or an equivalent qualification, with strong History knowledge and excellent classroom management to inspire pupils' enquiry and analytical thinking.

Qualifications

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Strong subject knowledge in History, with experience teaching KS3 and KS4.
• Deliver engaging, inclusive lessons that encourage enquiry, critical thinking and discussion.
• Demonstrate excellent behaviour management and communication skills.
• Be reliable, adaptable and committed to pupils' development.

Horizon Teachers are working with a number of secondary schools across Greenwich, South London, who are looking for enthusiastic and knowledgeable History Teachers to join their teams. These fantastic opportunities are suitable for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to develop their careers within supportive and welcoming secondary school environments.

As a History Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and informative lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, encouraging pupils to develop a deeper understanding of significant historical events, periods and figures. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong subject knowledge, effective classroom management skills and the ability to inspire students to think critically, analyse historical sources and develop their own perspectives on the past.
