Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD. is assisting a selective grammar school in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, in recruiting an MFL Teacher to join the languages department.

The role covers Key Stages 3 and 4 with pathways to the sixth form, ensuring high standards in teaching, learning and examination preparation. The successful candidate will plan and deliver engaging MFL lessons, develop language skills (speaking, listening, reading, writing, translation) and assess pupil progress, while maintaining

Qualifications

• QTS or recognised UK teaching qualification.
• Degree in a relevant modern foreign language.
• Experience teaching MFL in a secondary school setting.
• Strong subject knowledge and accurate language skills.
• GCSE teaching experience; sixth-form experience advantageous.
• High expectations of pupil achievement and classroom standards.

Tradewind Recruitment are currently supporting a highly regarded selective grammar school seeking an MFL Teacher to join its established languages provision. The school has a strong academic profile, high expectations of pupils and a broad curriculum extending from Key Stage 3 through to A Level.

The successful candidate will teach a modern foreign language across the secondary age range, contributing to consistently high standards of teaching, learning and examination preparation.

The Role

As an MFL Teacher, you will be responsible for:

• Planning and delivering engaging MFL lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Teaching language skills including speaking, listening, reading, writing and translation
• Preparing pupils effectively for GCSE examinations
• Assessing pupil progress and providing clear, constructive feedback

The successful applicant will ideally have:

• QTS or recognised UK teaching qualification

• Experience teaching MFL within a secondary school setting
• Strong subject knowledge and accurate language skills
• Experience teaching towards GCSE; sixth-form experience would be advantageous
• A clear understanding of effective language teaching and assessment
• High expectations of pupil achievement and classroom standards
• The ability to build positive professional relationships with pupils and colleagues
• A valid DBS or willingness to complete the required safeguarding checks
