Job summary

Metis Search are mandated by a leading global investment bank to add a Senior Analyst or Associate to its Metals & Mining team in London. The role offers exposure to high-profile M&A transactions and collaboration with senior bankers across a global platform.

Key responsibilities include executing M&A transactions, building financial models, preparing client presentations, and conducting industry analysis, with close interaction with clients and advisers.

Qualifications

• Approximately 2–6 years’ experience in investment banking, ideally with Metals & Mining or Natural Resources exposure.
• Strong technical foundation in financial modelling and valuation.
• Demonstrated experience across live M&A transactions.
• Strong analytical and commercial judgement.
• Clear and confident communicator with the ability to work effectively within a high-performing team.

Responsibilities

• Support the execution of M&A transactions across the Metals & Mining sector.
• Build and analyse financial models and valuations.
• Prepare client presentations, board materials and marketing documents.
• Conduct detailed industry, company and market analysis.
• Work closely with senior bankers, clients and external advisers throughout transactions.
