Job summary

Paralloy Group Limited in Billingham seeks a Chemical Analyst to provide testing and analytical services ensuring products meet specification on time and align with quality, cost, and safety goals. You will prepare and test metal samples for chemical analysis, operating the ARL Spectrometer and LECO determinator, and produce daily to KPI reports.

Responsibilities include charge calculations for least-cost mix using Optimat, data entry, material quality checks, stock control, and supporting

Qualifications

• Good communication skills.
• PC literacy with Word and Excel.
• Basic understanding of quality issues.
• Good mathematical knowledge.
• Accuracy in measurements.
• Ability to analyse data/results.
• Good level of English for reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cast samples for testing.
• Operate ARL Spectrometer & LECO Oxygen/Nitrogen Determinator.
• Prepare reports (Daily, weekly, monthly) to KPI’s.
• Analyse test results and decide actions per QC documentation.
• Daily equipment standardisation.
• Understand chemical results and apply corrective actions.
• Calculate charges to least cost mix using Optimat.
• Print shop floor QC documentation.
• Report daily/weekly/monthly KPI data.
• Enter internal and external materials into Optimat.
• Check material quality – fitness for use and safety.
• Manage raw material control and stock levels.
• Report KPI data regularly to departments.
