Beamish Museum is seeking an enthusiastic Metal Fabricator Apprentice to join our Transport Engineering Team on a fixed-term basis until September 2030. You will pursue a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship as a Metal Fabricator through a four-year programme with New College Durham, combining college study with hands-on workshop training in our engineering facilities.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Metal Fabricator Apprentice to join our Transport Engineering Team on a fixed term basis until September 2030. Supported by experienced mentors, you will work towards a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship as a Metal Fabricator through a structured four-year programme with New College Durham.
You will combine college study with hands‑on workplace training in Beamish Museum’s engineering facilities, building the knowledge, confidence and technical skills needed for a career in fabrication and heritage engineering.

Applicants must hold four GCSEs Grade 4/C (or equivalent) or above including Maths, English and a science to meet the entry requirements of the course at New College Durham.
