Job summary

Pybus Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Vehicle MET Technician for a busy York area bodyshop. You will restore damaged vehicles to manufacturer standards, performing mechanical and electrical repairs and ADAS calibration with a focus on quality and safety.

The role involves working on both conventional and electric vehicles, with a Monday–Friday schedule, plus 1 in 2 Saturdays. Excellent training and career progression opportunities are on offer.

Qualifications

• Experience as MET Technician in accident repair or bodyshop.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience stripping and refitting vehicle components.
• Knowledge of ADAS and calibration processes.
• Experience with Hybrid and Electric Vehicles.
• Ability to work independently under pressure.
• Attention to detail and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical and electrical repairs to a high standard.
• Strip and refit vehicle components as part of the repair process.
• Replace mechanical parts and assemblies as required.
• Work on both conventional and electric vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair ADAS-related components.

Vehicle MET Technician

Location: York Area

Salary: £21.00 - £23.00 per hour (£54,600 - £59,800 OTE) depending on experience and qualifications, with a salary review upon successful completion of probation.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 5:00pm, plus 1 in 2 Saturdays, 8:00am - 12:00pm (subject to business needs).
