Offering a competitive hourly rate of £20 plus a bonus structure with OTE upwards of £50,000, 40–45 hour weeks, and a company van, this position supports ongoing development and modern diagnostic tech across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a MET Technician in accident repair.
• Strong knowledge of automotive electrical and mechanical systems, including diagnostics.
• ATA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic assessments and mechanical repairs to a high standard across a wide range of vehicles.
• Identify and rectify faults using modern diagnostic equipment and software.
• Carry out dismantling and reassembly, including interior and exterior trim, engines, gearboxes, and suspension systems.
• Complete precise wheel alignments, suspension setups, and vehicle geometry adjustments.
• Ensure health and safety compliance and adherence to relevant industry standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain smooth workflow and customer satisfaction.

MET Technician Required in Widnes, Cheshire.

Our client, a well-established accident repair centre group in the North West, is seeking an experienced MET Technician to join their dynamic team.

Benefits: - £20 per hour plus a very competitive bonus rate (OTE upwards of £50,000)

• Perform diagnostic assessments and mechanical repairs to a high standard across a wide range of vehicles
• Identify and rectify electrical and mechanical faults efficiently and accurately using advanced diagnostic equipment
• Carry out dismantling and reassembly, including interior and exterior trim, engines, gearboxes, and suspension systems
• Complete precise wheel alignments, suspension setups, and vehicle geometry adjustments
• Ensure health and safety compliance and adherence to relevant industry standards
• Collaborate with colleagues and other departments to maintain smooth workflow and customer satisfaction
• Keep up to date with vehicle technology and complete training as required Requirements as an MET Technician:
• Proven experience as a MET Technician in an accident repair centre or automotive workshop environment
• Strong knowledge of automotive electrical and mechanical systems, including diagnostics and repairs
• Proficiency using modern diagnostic equipment and software
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting
• Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive repair (ATA certification preferred)
