Job summary

Holt Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced MET Technician / Strip Fitter in the Welwyn area. The role offers a permanent position with a salary up to £52,000 per year and overtime available. Typical hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:30 pm, with a focus on high-quality body repairs and vehicle dismantling.

The successful candidate will have time-served or NVQ/City & Guilds qualifications, with previous MET experience. ATA accreditation is advantageous but not essential.

Qualifications

• Time served and/or qualified to City & Guilds or NVQ level.
• Previous MET Technician experience required.
• ATA is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Remove and refit parts to ensure high standard repairs.
• Dismantle and rebuild vehicles as instructed.
• Report unseen damage not included in the estimate when identified.
• Maintain efficiency and attention to detail in work.
• Work well in a team or individually.

Our client, a busy Accident Repair Centre in the Welwyn area, is looking to expand their team with the addition of an experienced MET Technician / Strip Fitter.

Key MET Technician / Strip Fitter Roles and Responsibilities:

• Removing and refitting parts to ensure body repairs are to a very high standard
• Dismantle and rebuild vehicles as instructed
• To report unseen damage, absent from estimate as soon as its identified
• Have a good level of efficiency and attention to detail
• Be able to work in a team and as an individual

Minimum Requirements as a MET Technician / Strip Fitter:

• Time served and/or qualified to city & guilds or NVQ level
• Have Previous experience as an MET Technician
• ATA is advantageous but not essential
