Job summary

Holt Recruitment Group is representing a busy Accident Repair Centre in Cricklewood, seeking an experienced MET Technician / Strip Fitter. The role offers up to £26 per hour for 45 hours a week, permanent position, with flexible start times.

You'll dismantle and refit components, perform suspension work, four-wheel alignment, ADAS tasks when required, and focus on quality, safety and customer satisfaction in a collaborative workshop.

Qualifications

• Experience as MET Technician/Strip Fitter/Vehicle Technician in accident repair.
• ATA or NVQ qualifications advantageous but not essential.
• Hybrid and Electric Vehicle training beneficial.
• ADAS experience or accreditation desirable.
• Excellent attention to detail and quality repairs.
• Strong team player in fast-paced workshop.

Responsibilities

• Carry out removal and refitting of vehicle components.
• Dismantle and rebuild vehicles to manufacturer guidance.
• Identify and report additional damage beyond estimate.
• Perform mechanical repairs including suspension and wheel alignment.
• Conduct GEO and ADAS tasks when required.
• Collaborate with colleagues to meet repair deadlines.
• Maintain quality, safety and customer satisfaction throughout.

Our client, a busy Accident Repair Centre in the Cricklewood area, is looking to expand their team with the addition of an experienced MET Technician / Strip Fitter.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out the removal and refitting of vehicle components to support high-quality body repairs
• Dismantle and rebuild vehicles efficiently, following repair methods and manufacturer guidelines
• Accurately identify and report any additional damage not included within the original estimate
• Perform mechanical repairs including suspension work, four-wheel alignment, and diagnostic procedures
• Complete GEO and ADAS-related tasks where required
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure repairs are completed on time and to a high standard
• Maintain a strong focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction throughout the repair process

Requirements:

• Previous experience working as an MET Technician, Strip Fitter, or Vehicle Technician within an accident repair environment
• ATA or NVQ qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential
• Hybrid and Electric Vehicle training would be beneficial
• ADAS experience or accreditation would be highly desirable
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering first-class repairs
• Strong team player with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced workshop environment
