Job summary

Perfect Placement are representing a reputable accident repair centre in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, seeking an experienced MET Technician to dismantle, rebuild and diagnose accident-damaged vehicles to manufacturer standards.

You will work Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm, with a 30-minute lunch, with a basic salary of £45,000 and on-target earnings up to £52,000, plus benefits such as 30 days' holiday, pension and free parking. There is ongoing progression opportunity within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' experience as an MET Technician within an accident repair centre or bodyshop (must-have).
• Strong knowledge of modern vehicle mechanical, electrical and trim systems.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Dismantling and rebuilding accident-damaged vehicles to manufacturer standards.
• Removing, refitting, and replacing mechanical, electrical, and trim components.
• Diagnosing and reporting additional damage identified during repairs.
• Ensuring repairs align with manufacturer repair methods.
• Reconnecting and testing electrical and mechanical systems post-repair.

Requirements of an MET Technician:

• IMI Accreditation preferred
• Strong knowledge of modern vehicle mechanical, electrical, and trim systems
• Ability to diagnose faults and work independently to a high standard
• Full UK Driving Licence
