Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd in Ilkeston, Derbyshire is seeking an experienced MET Technician (Twilight) to join a high-volume accident repair centre. You will work on insurance, prestige, fleet, LCV, hybrid and electric vehicle repairs in a modern workshop.

The role offers a competitive basic salary (£45,800) with uncapped overtime and bonus, plus career development and a benefits package including pension, life cover and health support.

Qualifications

• Previous MET Technician experience required.
• NVQ/IMI/ATA or equivalent preferred.
• Strong mechanical and electrical repair knowledge.
• Full UK Driving Licence required.

Responsibilities

• Remove and refit mechanical, electrical, trim and body components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
• Complete repairs to manufacturer and insurer standards.
• Meet repair targets and deadlines.
• Perform quality checks before vehicle completion.
• Maintain a clean, safe workshop.
• Collaborate with Panel and Paint Technicians to ensure smooth workflow.

Duties of an MET Technician:

• Conduct mechanical, electrical, trim, and body component removal and refitting
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults accurately
• Complete repairs in accordance with manufacturer and insurer standards
• Work efficiently to meet repair targets and deadlines
• Perform comprehensive quality checks prior to vehicle completion
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment
• Collaborate closely with Panel and Paint Technicians to ensure smooth workflow

Requirements of an MET Technician:

• Previous experience as an MET Technician is essential
• Qualified to NVQ, IMI, ATA, or equivalent is preferred
• Strong mechanical and electrical repair knowledge
• Ability to perform efficiently within a busy bodyshop environment
• High attention to detail and dedication to quality workmanship
• Full UK Driving Licence required
