Job summary

Perfect Placement UK Ltd is seeking an experienced MET Technician for a Finchley-based automotive business. The role involves delivering high-quality mechanical and suspension repairs, diagnostics and refits within a professional environment that values skill development.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a MET Technician or Auto Electrician in the motor trade.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and suspension repairs.
• Relevant mechanical qualifications; ATA MET accreditation preferred.
• LCV experience is desirable.
• Excellent attention to detail and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mechanical repairs and suspension work to high standards.
• Diagnose and repair suspension, steering geometry, and alignment issues.
• Perform plastic repairs, glazing, and A/C evacuation/recharge.
• Inspect vehicles for additional damages and ensure quality refits.
• Utilise qualifications to ensure precise and efficient repairs.
• Maintain safety, quality and customer satisfaction throughout tasks.

Duties:

• - Conducting mechanical repairs, suspension work, and vehicle assessments to high standards
• - Diagnosing and repairing suspension, steering geometry, and alignment issues
• - Performing plastic repairs, glazing, and air conditioning system evacuation and recharging
• - Inspecting vehicles to identify additional damages, ensuring quality refits in collaboration with repair consultants
• - Utilising relevant mechanical and suspension qualifications to ensure precise and efficient repairs
• - Maintaining safety, quality, and customer satisfaction throughout all tasks

Requirements of a MET Technician:

• - Proven experience as a MET Technician or Auto Electrician within the motor trade
• - Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanical and suspension repairs
• - Relevant mechanical and suspension qualifications, ideally ATA MET accreditation
• - LCV experience is desirable
• - Familiarity with steering geometry alignment and adjustment techniques
