HP4 RECRUITMENT LTD is recruiting a MET/Panel Technician for a busy bodyshop in Redruth. The role covers mechanical, electrical and trim (MET) work alongside body and panel repairs to restore accident-damaged vehicles to pre-accident condition.

The position offers competitive hourly rates (£20-£24) with Monday to Friday, full-time permanent employment. You will join a professional team and have opportunities to develop your career within a well-established automotive business.

Qualifications

• Must have proven MET and panel repair experience on accident-damaged vehicles.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle body repair techniques and structures.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out MET and panel repairs on a range of accident-damaged vehicles.
• Remove and refit mechanical, electrical and trim components.
• Repair, replace and align damaged body panels.
• Carry out stripping and refitting work as required.
• Assess vehicle damage and determine appropriate repair methods.
• Carry out welding and structural repairs where required.
• Work closely with other bodyshop technicians throughout the repair process.
• Ensure all repairs are completed safely and to a high standard.
• Complete repairs in line with manufacturer and industry standards.
• Accurately complete job cards and repair documentation.

About the Role

Our client is a well-established automotive business with a busy bodyshop in Redruth, and they are currently looking for an experienced MET / Panel Technician to join their growing team.

This role will involve a combination of mechanical, electrical and trim (MET) work alongside vehicle body and panel repairs, helping to return accident-damaged vehicles to their pre-accident condition.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out MET and panel repairs on a range of accident-damaged vehicles

• Remove and refit mechanical, electrical and trim components

Requirements

• Proven experience as an MET Technician, Panel Technician, Panel Beater or Bodyshop Technician

• Experience across both MET and panel repair work

• Strong knowledge of vehicle body repair techniques

• Experience working with accident-damaged vehicles

• Good understanding of vehicle structures and repair methods

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Relevant automotive/bodyshop qualifications are preferred

• Full UK Driving Licence
