HP4 Recruitment Ltd is assisting a well-established automotive business in Luton to recruit an experienced MET / Panel Technician. The role combines mechanical, electrical and trim MET work with body repairs to restore vehicles to pre-accident condition.

The ideal candidate has MET and panel experience, understands repair methods, and can work independently or in a team. The position offers ongoing training, a modern bodyshop and stable long-term progression.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an MET Technician, Panel Technician, Panel Beater or Bodyshop Technician.
• Experience across both MET and panel repair work.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle body repair techniques.
• Experience working with accident-damaged vehicles.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out MET and panel repairs on a range of accident-damaged vehicles.
• Remove and refit mechanical, electrical and trim components.
• Repair, replace and align damaged body panels.
• Carry out stripping and refitting work as required.
• Assess vehicle damage and determine appropriate repair methods.
• Carry out welding and structural repairs where required.
• Work closely with other bodyshop technicians throughout the repair process.
• Ensure all repairs are completed safely and to a high standard.
• Complete repairs in line with manufacturer and industry standards.
• Accurately complete job cards and repair documentation.

Salary: £22 - £24 per hour

Working Hours: Monday to Friday

About the Role

Our client is a well-established automotive business with a busy bodyshop in Luton, and they are currently looking for an experienced MET / Panel Technician to join their growing team.

This role will involve a combination of mechanical, electrical and trim (MET) work alongside vehicle body and panel repairs, helping to return accident-damaged vehicles to their pre-accident condition.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out MET and panel repairs on a range of accident-damaged vehicles
