Job summary

TeacherActive is supporting a welcoming secondary school in Merthyr Tydfil to recruit a dedicated Cover Supervisor for a temporary placement with immediate start.

The role involves supervising KS3/KS4 classes, delivering pre-prepared materials, and maintaining a positive learning environment. Daily rate is £110–£115, dependent on experience, with potential for extension beyond February half term.

• Following school behaviour policies and safeguarding procedures
• Building positive professional relationships with pupils and staff
• Providing feedback to teaching staff on pupil engagement and behaviour

Salary: £110–£115 per day (dependent on experience)

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming Secondary School in Merthyr Tydfil, who are looking for a dedicated and reliable Cover Supervisor to join their team on a temporary basis.

The role is available for an immediate start and will initially run until February half term, with the potential for an extension.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising classes across KS3 and KS4 in the absence of the regular class teacher, ensuring pupils remain engaged, focused and on task.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Cover Supervisor or someone with relevant classroom experience looking to further develop their skills within a supportive secondary school environment.
