Job summary

MERKUR Casino UK is seeking a part-time Team Member in Coventry to join our market-leading venues. You will work 30 hours per week, earning £13.08–£14.08 per hour, with a higher night rate of £14.08 between 23:00 and 06:00.

The role focuses on welcoming guests, delivering great service and supporting promotions. We value training and development, offer a contributory pension, life assurance and rewards through our bonus scheme.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, hospitality or gambling environments.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver excellent customer service.
• Willingness to learn and develop within the role.
• Flexible and dedicated team member with a positive attitude.
• Attention to detail and adherence to standards and policies.
• Industry and compliance training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Maintain venue housekeeping to a high standard, cleaning gaming equipment, floors and surfaces.
• Offer service rounds and refreshments in line with brand guidelines.
• Monitor customer behaviour and note any suspicious or disruptive activity.
• Provide administration support as required with high accuracy.
• Help promotions run smoothly and contribute to their success.
• Deliver customer service that meets company standards and achieves satisfaction.
• Own and resolve problems, escalate when needed per complaints policy.
• Interact with customers during shifts and log interactions per policy.
• Present a professional image and adhere to the brand dress code.
• Share product knowledge to support the customer journey and enjoyment.
• Understand safeguarding policies and reference them as required.
• Discourage harassment, discrimination or victimisation in the workplace.

Duties include but not limited to:

• To ensure that the venue housekeeping is always of the highest possible standard, regularly cleaning gaming equipment, floors, walls and other surfaces.
• To ensure service rounds and refreshments are offered in line with brand guidelines.
• To monitor the actions and behaviour of customers, noting any behaviour considered to be suspicious and/or disruptive to the smooth operation of the venue.
• To assist with any administration as required to 100% accuracy.
• To help ensure that promotions run smoothly and are a success.
• To ensure that customer service is carried out in line with company standards and results in “customer satisfaction”.
• To own and resolve problems, escalating where appropriate and in accordance with the complaints policy.
• To interact with customers through your shift and intervene as appropriate. Such interactions must be logged in accordance with policies.
• To maintain a high standard of personal presentation ensuring the brand dress code is always adhered to, whilst on duty.
• Achieve, maintain and impart to customers great product knowledge to support the customer journey and enjoyment.
• Gain a good understanding of all company policies and procedures around safeguarding and challenge 25
