Job summary

Merkur Slots UK Limited in Crawley is seeking a Team Member to join our busy venue on a 24-hour-per-week rota.

You’ll deliver friendly service, help with housekeeping, carry out rounds, promote promotions, and log interactions, while adhering to brand standards and safeguarding policies.

This role offers pay of £13.25–£14.75 per hour, with night rate £14.75 between 23:00 and 06:00, 28 days holiday, pension, life assurance, and career progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, hospitality or gambling environments.
• Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service.
• Willingness to learn and develop.
• Flexible and dedicated with weekend/Bank Holiday availability.
• Attention to detail and adherence to brand standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of venue housekeeping and cleanliness.
• Provide service rounds and refreshments per brand guidelines.
• Monitor customer behavior for safety and smooth operation.
• Assist with administration to ensure 100% accuracy.
• Support promotions and ensure smooth execution of campaigns.
• Deliver customer service in line with company standards and achieve customer satisfaction.
• Log customer interactions and escalate issues per policy.
• Maintain brand dress code and professional presentation.

Duties include but not limited to:

• To ensure that the venue housekeeping is always of the highest possible standard, regularly cleaning gaming equipment, floors, walls and other surfaces.
• To ensure service rounds and refreshments are offered in line with brand guidelines.
• To monitor the actions and behaviour of customers, noting any behaviour considered to be suspicious and/or disruptive to the smooth operation of the venue.
• To assist with any administration as required to 100% accuracy.
• To help ensure that promotions run smoothly and are a success.
• To ensure that customer service is carried out in line with company standards and results in "customer satisfaction".
• To own and resolve problems, escalating where appropriate and in accordance with the complaints policy.
• To interact with customers through your shift and intervene as appropriate. Such interactions must be logged in accordance with policies.
• To maintain a high standard of personal presentation ensuring the brand dress code is always adhered to, whilst on duty.
• Achieve, maintain and impart to customers great product knowledge to support the customer journey and enjoyment.
