Job summary

MERKUR Casino UK is seeking a Team Member for Worthing to deliver a warm, first-class guest experience across our gaming venues. You will help create a welcoming atmosphere, assist customers with queries, and contribute to smooth operations across shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.

Experience in retail, hospitality or gambling is preferred. We value strong communication, reliability and a proactive attitude, with comprehensive training provided to get you up to speed quickly.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, hospitality or gambling environments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of venue housekeeping and cleanliness.
• Serve rounds and refreshments following brand guidelines.
• Monitor customer behaviour for suspicious/disruptive activity.
• Assist with administration to 100% accuracy.
• Help ensure promotions run smoothly.
• Ensure customer service aligns with company standards and achieves satisfaction.
• Own and resolve problems, escalating as needed.

Hours Per Week: 40

Pay Rate: £12.84 - £13.84 per hour

Night Rate: £13.84 per hour between 23:00 and 06:00

We need you to be flexible and able to work on a rota basis that includes weekends and Bank Holidays. You must be able to work on your own initiative, as well as part of a team.

Duties include but not limited to:

• To ensure that the venue housekeeping is always of the highest possible standard, regularly cleaning gaming equipment, floors, walls and other surfaces.
• To ensure service rounds and refreshments are offered in line with brand guidelines.
• To monitor the actions and behaviour of customers, noting any behaviour considered to be suspicious and/or disruptive to the smooth operation of the venue.
• To assist with any administration as required to 100% accuracy.
• To help ensure that promotions run smoothly and are a success.
• To ensure that customer service is carried out in line with company standards and results in “customer satisfaction”.
• To own and resolve problems, escalating where appropriate and in accordance with the complaints policy.
• To interact with customers through your shift and intervene as appropriate. Such interactions must be logged in accordance with policies.
• To maintain a high standard of personal presentation ensuring the brand dress code is always adhered to, whilst on duty.
• Achieve, maintain and impart to customers great product knowledge to support the customer journey and enjoyment.
• Gain a good understanding of all company policies and procedures around safeguarding and challenge 25
