Position: Mergers & Acquisitions Analyst | Industrials/Manufacturing

Location: London - Hybrid/Flexible

This role offers an exciting opportunity to start your career in M&A within a highly regarded global PLC!

You will identify and evaluate strategic acquisition opportunities, conduct market research, perform financial analysis, and support deal execution. You will also contribute to the company's growth and be mentored by experienced senior M&A leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Market Intelligence: Conduct research to identify attractive investment opportunities in potential market niches.
• Target Identification: Support evaluation of potential acquisition targets aligned with Halma’s strategic goals.
• Pipeline Management: Maintain and update the target pipeline database for the Safety sector.
• Deal Support: Assist in financial modelling, due diligence, and preparing internal approval documents for active deals.
• Strategic Contribution: Provide input on sector M&A strategy and participate in special projects and analyses.

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience & Interest in M&A: 1-2 years of relevant experience or strong interest in pursuing a career in M&A.
• Analytical Skills: Strong quantitative skills to assess market opportunities and build business cases.
• Financial Knowledge: Experience with DCF valuation models and understanding of financial principles.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, capable of analyzing large datasets.
• Teamwork & Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively.
• Industry Knowledge: Background in industrial or manufacturing sectors (preferred).
• Personal Attributes: Self-motivated, proactive, detail-oriented, eager to learn.
