Job summary

An established industry player is seeking a Mergers & Acquisitions Lead Advisory Manager to enhance their M&A service line. As a Mergers & Acquisitions Lead Advisory Manager, you will be responsible for developing the M&A service line by delivering high-quality services to clients, including advising on disposals, acquisitions, fundraisings, and management buyouts.

The focus will mainly be on privately-owned mid-market businesses, working on transactions with an enterprise value of £5–50 million.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Research and prepare for new deal opportunities and pitches.
  • Prepare financial models and transaction documentation, including business plans, marketing materials, and financial forecasts.
  • Identify and approach potential buyers, coordinating with clients.
  • Manage larger transactions and oversee smaller ones.
  • Support marketing activities of the national M&A team and build your market profile.
  • Build strong client relationships and respond promptly to their needs.
  • Show strategic vision and focus on long-term goals.
  • Maintain control and stability under pressure, meeting deadlines.
  • Present service features and benefits confidently to clients.
  • Ensure services are appropriate for clients’ needs.
  • Identify and pursue new opportunities for business growth.
  • Produce high-quality work in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
  • Qualified to ACA (or equivalent) level.
  • Minimum of two years of Lead Advisory M&A experience.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong client relationship development skills.
  • Financial modelling expertise.
  • A desire to grow and develop the department.
  • Ability to develop new initiatives and methodologies.
  • Sound commercial analysis skills to identify issues.
  • Confident in verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to develop oneself and others.
  • Strong research skills and a commitment to continuous learning.
