Job summary

Marks & Spencer Plc in London is seeking an Assistant Merchandiser on a 12-month FTC. You will support the Merchandiser in seasonal planning, range strategy, and stock forecasts, across UK and international channels.

The role requires analyzing sales, collaborating with design, buying, sourcing and space planning, and developing forecasts with strong numerical and IT skills. Experience with Range Planner, SAS and JDA is valued.

Qualifications

• Core Merchandising skills including GSM management and stock planning.
• Knowledge of end-to-end buy-to-store process.
• Ability to manage in-season costs and negotiate accordingly.
• Strong understanding of M&S brand strategy.
• Proficient with Range Planner, SSI, SAS Reporting and JDA Merch Planning.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Merchandiser in strategy and targets for range sales and stock forecasts by channel.
• Analyzing sales to identify winners/losers and acting with stakeholders to maximise sales opportunities.
• Assisting in quarterly product planning for all channels including international.
• Booking quantities to meet launches and respond to in-season variables UK & International.
• Assisting with department plan reviews and lessons learned.
• Maintaining departmental documentation for sale periods including markdown plans.
• Keeping Range Planner listings accurate.
• Collaborating with Sourcing to manage critical path from buy to delivery and production plans.
• Providing input to Space Planning for layout plans.
• Staying aware of competitors to inform price points and catalog shape.
