Job summary

Smiths News in Redruth is looking for an instore Merchandiser on a flexible, part-time contract. You'll manage POS placements, stock replenishment, and auditing across your allocated stores, delivering visually impactful displays.

You’ll lead your own route, keep displays on-brand, and plan visits cost-effectively. A driving licence and use of a vehicle are required, with travel time and mileage payable where eligible. 5-20 hours weekly on average.

Qualifications

• Previous merchandising experience would be advantageous but not mandatory.
• A friendly confident personality with a can do attitude.
• Excellent communication skills, high integrity and reliable.
• To be located within 15 miles of advertised area.
• Ability to work on own initiative and make the right decisions under pressure.
• Full commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Own your territory, managing point-of-sale placement and stock replenishment.
• Audit displays to keep them on-brand and visually impactful.
• Build strong relationships with store colleagues and managers.
• Plan cost-effective visits and take charge of your own journey plan.
• Ensure stock is replenished and displays stay accurate.

Flexible, part time contract
Pay Rate – £14.24 Per hour (includes Holiday Pay)

Travel time and mileage are payable subject to eligibility

Plus: Location Allowance if applicable

Full UK Driving licence plus use of vehicle required.

About the role:

As an Instore Merchandiser, you’ll bring products to life out in the world on the shop floor. You’ll own your territory, taking care of point-of-sale placement to stock replenishment and auditing. You’ll take pride in first-class standards, creating and maintaining
visually impactful displays, and building strong relationships with store colleagues and managers. You’ll be the person who
keeps everything in order, ensuring that stock is replenished and that displays stay on-brand. You’ll take charge of your own
cost-effective journey plan and make every visit count. If you’re someone who thrives on autonomy and loves to engage with
others, this role is for you.
