About the role

Responsible for assortment planning activities for your category across strategy, insight and range architecture to optimise assortment proposition delivering customer and commercial objectives. Actions have a direct impact on maximising customer satisfaction, sales and profitability by defining an effective proposition structure in context of customer and market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and contribute to gender/department Assortment Strategy through all aspects of customer, assortment, price and activity planning.
  • Input and presentation of category and brand growth initiatives and business cases.
  • Agree assortment strategic goals, working closely with Merchandise Planner to inform commercial budgets in order to deliver business objectives.
  • Analysis of historical performance, market trends and customer modelling to inform strategic direction.
  • Build strategic supplier relationships to driver positive customer and commercial outcomes.
  • Working alongside assortment to establish range architecture framework that optimises price, product, brand and segment mix across the proposition.
  • Continual review and improvement of Assortment processes and technical scope to deliver consistent best practice and efficiencies throughout.
  • Identify opportunity within the P&L to optimise assortment profitability.
  • Leverage data to best inform strategic business insights and relevant application.
  • Lead and motivate team through continual change and development.
