Job summary

Clarks is seeking a Merchandise Planner to produce accurate demand forecasts across owned points of purchase for a gender, across retail, digital and outlets, and to manage stock from the Distribution Centre ensuring timely delivery and optimised stock levels.

You will review forecasts against sales, promotions and commercial plans, collaborate with Merchandising and Supply Chain, and adjust allocation and replenishment to meet changing needs with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Strong numerical, analytical and interpretive skills.
• Proficient with SQL, databases and BI tools to perform analysis.
• Experience with allocation and replenishment systems is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships across teams.
• Very high attention to detail and ability to spot data issues.

Responsibilities

• Produce long-term (pre-season) and short-term (in-season) forecasts for merchandising and supply chain.
• Set time and size profiles for feed-in to the seasonal forecasting process (make and sales).
• Feed-in to seasonal assortment plan the initial allocation vs replenishment profile.
• Collaborate with Merchandise to align forecasts with commercial requirements ( promotions, openings/closures ).
• Optimize store-level profiles and size/time phase in response to trading patterns.
• Monitor forecast accuracy and adjust plans to improve accuracy and stock alignment.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain on weekly distribution planning and stock exits.
