Job summary

Salter Grange Limited seeks a Senior Building Services Manager to oversee safe, efficient delivery of MEP systems across large projects. This role combines technical leadership with strategic oversight to ensure integrated, tested, and commissioned outcomes in line with design, statutory and sustainability requirements.

You will mentor teams, drive continuous improvement, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure smooth handover and long-term building performance.

Qualifications

• Experience managing large-scale, complex MEP projects.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, high-quality outcomes.
• Strong understanding of the full project lifecycle: estimating, pre-construction, installation, commissioning, handover.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and technical direction in applying Building Services management systems and procedures.
• Oversee MEP delivery from pre-construction through commissioning and handover, including tendering and procurement.
• Lead planning, coordination and integration of MEP works into the project programme.
• Oversee coordinated drawings, builder's work requirements, and tracking of equipment and plant through approval, procurement, delivery, installation and testing.
• Identify and mitigate risks, drive quality systems compliance and progressive sign-off.
• Oversee safe management of live energy systems and develop inspection, testing and handover plans.
• Mentor junior team members, promote company values, and strengthen client, consultant and supply chain relationships.
• Oversee preparation of safety files and delivery of soft landings processes.
