Qualifications

Quantity Surveyor - London, UK South Build Division

The UK Build South Business is looking for an MEP Quantity Surveyor to join the team on one of our healthcare projects. Working alongside the Project Director, the role will involve working within & assisting the commercial & construction team to ensure a successful project is delivered, while maintaining relationships, maximising commercial returns and managing risk.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Preparing tenders, analysing, selecting appropriate subcontractors, negotiation & finalising subcontractor orders, financial & commercial management of subcontractors to Final Account completion.
  • Managing and reporting forecasts, targets, reconciliations, site records, document control, variation reporting, valuations, and assisting in site records & document control.
  • Liaising with & commercially influencing/challenging the site management team whilst maintaining & protecting JSS's commercial & contractual entitlement.
  • Managing & overseeing AQS & TQS, checking & taking responsibility for their work & signing off SMM/measurement issues.
Qualifications:
  • Experience as an MEP Quantity Surveyor in build projects.
  • Experience working on large Hospital/Healthcare schemes (ideal for the projects).
  • A relevant 3rd level qualification.
  • Experience in report writing, forecast planning and engaging with clients and senior leaders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
