Job summary

Pentagon Technical Services is seeking an experienced MEP Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial management of Mechanical and Electrical packages on large data centre projects.

You will administer FIDIC contracts, manage variations and payments, produce cost reports, and support close-out while collaborating with architects, engineers and multidisciplinary teams on site in Beaconsfield and wider UK projects.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• Experience as an MEP Quantity Surveyor.
• Experience on data centre or large industrial projects.
• Strong understanding of varying contracts and FIDIC.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficient in Excel and commercial reporting systems.
• Ability to work independently with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Commercial management of MEP works across the project lifecycle.
• Administer contracts under FIDIC.
• Prepare and negotiate payment applications.
• Manage variations, compensation events and change control.
• Review Engineer's Instructions and contractual correspondence.
• Prepare and assess claims.
• Produce monthly cost, cash flow and forecast reports.
• Monitor budgets and identify commercial risks and opportunities.
• Support project close-out and final accounts.
• Attend client and project meetings.
