Job summary

FBR Construction Recruitment is seeking an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join a growing QS team in London. You will support the commercial management of mechanical and electrical packages on a major Data Centre project, working with an experienced Director and client team to deliver cost controls and commercial reporting.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in QS, exposure to MEP services, and aims to develop a career in MEP Quantity Surveying within this rapidly expanding sector.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years' experience in Quantity Surveying
• Exposure to MEP/building services
• Good understanding of QS principles and commercial management

Responsibilities

• Support commercial management of mechanical and electrical packages on a major London Data Centre project.
• Assist with valuations and applications for payment.
• Support cost planning, budgeting and forecasting throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist with subcontractor procurement and tender analysis.
• Review subcontractor quotations and assist with commercial comparisons.
• Assist with variations, cost reports and final accounts.
• Liaise with client and project team and attend commercial meetings.
