Job summary

Fawkes & Reece Group is seeking a commercially minded Quantity Surveyor to support its growing portfolio of M&E and HVAC projects in the UK. You will manage costs, budgets and forecasts across the project lifecycle, including valuations, variations and final accounts, while liaising with clients and supply chain partners.

The role requires experience in building services projects, a solid grasp of cost control and contract knowledge (JCT/NEC), and the ability to run multiple projects

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor in M&E or building services.
• Strong knowledge of cost control, valuations, variations, and final accounts.
• Familiarity with JCT and NEC contracts.

Our client is an established building services specialist delivering a range of mechanical, electrical and HVAC projects. With a strong focus on quality, collaboration and successful project delivery, they are looking to appoint a commercially minded Quantity Surveyor to support their growing portfolio of projects.

THE ROLE:

You will take commercial responsibility for a portfolio of M&E and HVAC projects, managing costs, budgets and forecasts throughout the project lifecycle. Responsibilities include preparing valuations and final accounts, negotiating variations and claims, managing subcontractor accounts, supporting procurement and administering JCT and NEC contracts. You will also monitor commercial risks and opportunities, produce cost reports and work closely with operational teams, clients and supply chain partners to ensure successful project delivery.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

You will have experience as a Quantity Surveyor within mechanical, electrical or building services projects, with strong knowledge of cost control, valuations, variations, subcontractor management and final accounts. Familiarity with JCT and NEC contracts is essential, alongside strong commercial awareness, negotiation skills and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
