Job summary

NRL Recruitment seeks an experienced MEP Lead to drive mechanical and electrical delivery on a major construction development in the UK, with Newcastle as the project location.

This senior leadership role requires a proven track record managing large-scale projects, strong leadership and collaboration with design teams and subcontractors to meet programme, safety and quality targets.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related Electrical Trade Qualification.
• Minimum 10 years' post-qualification experience.
• Proven track record managing large-scale projects as Senior Project Manager or similar.
• Experience with a main building contractor is preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full mechanical and electrical scope across the project lifecycle.
• Lead all MEP activities to meet programme, quality, safety, and commercial targets.
• Monitor compliance with design specifications, technical standards, and regulations.
• Work closely with design teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery.
• Drive performance and continuous improvement across all MEP operations.
• Conduct regular site reviews and progress reporting to maintain alignment with objectives.
