Job summary

NRL Recruitment is seeking a Senior MEP Surveyor to manage commercial and contractual aspects of mechanical and electrical packages on a major project.

You will oversee cost reports, cash flow forecasts, subcontract negotiations, and change control while ensuring compliance with NEC/JCT terms and project schedules. This role requires strong analytical and negotiation skills, and experience with building services or MEP packages on large-scale schemes.

Qualifications

• Experience as Quantity/Commercial Surveyor, preferably at senior level.
• Proven experience managing MEP packages in major construction projects.
• Good knowledge of NEC/JCT standard contract forms.
• Strong commercial acumen with analytical and negotiation skills.
• IT proficiency and familiarity with cost management systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage all commercial functions related to MEP packages from pre-contract through final account.
• Prepare, review, and negotiate subcontract and supplier agreements.
• Produce accurate cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and financial updates.
• Assess and manage commercial risks, providing recommendations to the project team.
• Oversee valuations, payment applications, and change management processes.
• Ensure compliance with contract terms and project schedules.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, design teams, and stakeholders to support successful delivery.
