Job summary

YTL Construction UK is seeking an MEP Buyer to manage procurement for mechanical, electrical and public health goods and services on high-profile projects at Brabazon and a 20,000-capacity arena.

You will collaborate with internal stakeholders, develop robust supplier agreements, and ensure timely delivery while maintaining budget compliance. The role requires strong commercial acumen, excellent communication, and a detail-oriented approach to procurement within a construction environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an MEP Buyer in construction environments.
• Commercially astute with strong analytical skills.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase materials from approved MEP suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and cost effectiveness.
• Ensure all purchased materials meet project specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with MEP procurement planning and package buying strategies.
• Support tendering and estimating activities by obtaining competitive quotations.
• Act as a conduit between suppliers and internal customers to develop strong partnerships.
• Consolidate purchases to maximise economic benefit; monitor supplier performance.
• Ensure orders align with negotiated agreements and site requirements.
• Coordinate with Precon, MEP and project teams for site requests and call-offs.
• Monitor stock levels and report back to the business.
