Job summary

CareTech UK Ltd is recruiting a Mental Health Support Worker – Male for our Watford service. The role involves delivering person-centred support, assisting with daily living skills, and promoting independence within a rota that includes evenings, weekends and sleep-ins.

We provide full training, a structured induction, and opportunities for progression. Enhanced DBS is required and the role offers a competitive hourly rate of £13.03 with shift patterns including early/late starts.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work towards Level 2 in Health and Social Care.
• Ability to work unsociable hours on a rota.

Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred support in line with individual support plans.
• Assist with daily living skills and personal care where required.

• Support activities, appointments, and community access.
• Maintain accurate records and work effectively as part of a team.
• Work a rota including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins.

Mental Health Support Worker – Male

Location: Watford

Rate: £13.03 per hour

Permanent | Full-time | 37.5 hours per week (rota-based)

Shifts will be either early / late – 7.45am, 8am 9am start – 2.45pm 9pm or 10pm finish

To work every other weekend

About the Service – Essex Road

Essex Road Supported Living Service consists of 13 self-contained flats has been built in Watford to accommodate people who may need support with the best possible recovery outcomes with long term and complex, needs in areas such as; drug, alcohol, stress, physical or mental illness either from past experiences or difficult relationships.

Essex Road has free on-site parking and excellent transport links for those commuting.

• Arts and crafts
• Days out such as Theme Parks, Meals out, Social activities, Christmas markets etc.
• Holidays and short breaks
• Walks in the local park and community
• Cooking and baking to develop life skills

The Role

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking people who are caring, patient, and respectful, with a positive and resilient approach. You should be confident working independently and within a team, have good communication skills, basic IT and written abilities, and be flexible and reliable.

No previous experience? No problem! If you have the passion, we’ll provide full training and a structured induction programme.
