Job summary

Cygnet Raglan House in Smethwick is recruiting a Mental Health Support Worker to join a 25-bed high-support inpatient rehabilitation service for women. The role is full-time, 42 hours per week, with 12-hour shifts across days and nights, including every other weekend.

You will provide enhanced care, emotional support, help with daily living skills, and report on medical and welfare needs. Successful applicants will undergo an enhanced DBS check and benefit from overtime opportunities, coaching,

Qualifications

• Experienced Mental Health Support Worker with over 6 months in a mental health setting.
• Enhanced DBS check will be required.

Responsibilities

• Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach to all residents.
• Provide guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support.
• Learn about individuals' needs and provide help accordingly.
• Assist with medical and welfare needs and report as required.
• Safeguard residents and maintain a safe, clean environment.

This is a full-time role (42 hours per week), working 12-hour shifts across days and nights, including every other weekend.

Cygnet Raglan House is a 25-bed high-support inpatient rehabilitation (level 2) service for women. It is designed to provide an environment that promotes mental health recovery by focusing on space, personal privacy, and dignity.

Women admitted to the service often come from multiple placement breakdowns, failed treatment programmes or are stepping down from secure settings.

Your day-to-day…

• Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all the people in our care
• Provide guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support
• Learn about individuals' specific needs & provide help in the most appropriate way
• Assist with medical & welfare needs
• Report on medical & welfare needs as required
