Job summary

Rethink Mental Illness is seeking a compassionate Mental Health Recovery Worker for Grove Court, a 10-bed residential home in Newcastle-Under-Lyme. The role covers 24-hour care on a rota basis, including night and weekend shifts, with sleep-in enhancements and relevant shift allowances.

You’ll support residents on recovery journeys, provide personal care, build trust, and coordinate with mental health professionals to promote safety and wellbeing. A values-driven, inclusive workplace awaits.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people with mental illness in social care.
• Excellent listening, empathy, patience and kindness.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to values-based care.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assist with daily living tasks.
• Support residents to access community and social groups.
• Offer one-to-one support and build professional relationships.
• Develop personalised support and safety plans with residents.
• Monitor wellbeing and discharge information to the team.
• Maintain accurate records and support safeguarding.
