Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Mental Health Advisor to join the 111 mental health crisis support team. You will be the first point of contact for people in crisis, providing reassurance, basic information and guiding callers to the right care.

This role supports patients across the Durham Tees Valley area and works with partner agencies to access appropriate services. This 24/7 position requires resilience and strong communication skills.

Competenze

• NVQ 3 in Care, Customer Care or Business Administration
• Qualification or experience in Customer Services
• Previous experience of patient care
• Experience of working shifts patterns including evenings and weekends
• Working with demanding targets

Mansioni

• Be the first contact for patients, carers, professionals and other callers with urgent mental health needs, 24hrs a day, covering a 7-day service.
• Use screening pathways to record patient demographics and clinical information and direct to the most appropriate healthcare professional or service.
• Be compassionate in meeting the needs of patients and carers and promote a positive image of people with mental health conditions.
• Ensure calls are appropriately assessed and directed to the correct healthcare professional.
• Deliver high quality, safe and clinically effective healthcare over the telephone following appropriate pathways.
