Job summary

Sanctuary Supported Living in Ipswich is recruiting a Care and Support Assistant to provide personalised care to individuals with mental health needs at Sidegate Lane. The role involves supporting daily living activities, medication administration, and promoting independence within a compassionate team.

The position is 30 hours per week, offering a supportive, not-for-profit environment with a strong focus on development and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Deliver personalised care and support, helping customers live as independently as possible
• Support with washing, dressing, bathing and personal hygiene
• Administer medication safely and accurately
• Assist with shopping, cleaning and laundry tasks
• Help customers arrange and attend appointments
• Promote a positive culture by engaging with customers and reducing social isolation
• Keep accurate records and follow safe practices, including risk assessments
• NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards it
• Good communication skills to build strong relationships with customers
• Proficient technology/IT skills (Microsoft Office and similar)

Responsibilities
